Reciprocity Home

Context

when? where? who? why?

Food always plays an important role in everyone's daily life. However whether in the city or in the countryside, a large amount of food is wasted every day. To be worse, there are still many people who suffer from hunger and do not have the money to buy enough fresh food. Reciprocity Home is to solve the worldwide hunger problem, reduce food waste, and help more people stay away from hunger problems.

Target

for whom?

This app is an application designed for residence in Lyon, France. It has two types of users, people who want to get food and merchants who want to donate food for people in poor condition. It gives people a magnificant place to search for fresh food and share their extra food.

Service offered

what? how?

By establishing a charitable sharing platform for users, people can share extra food on it.

For general users, you can sign in to start the journey. Then, it requires the user to give their location permission to search for different categories of food they need. Now it has four categories: Bread, Fruit, Meat and Snack. Users can click on the food they want to see what and how they can get. Thanks to the geographic permission, the backstage can detect the nearest shop for the user. Users can know the condition of food, see the picture of food that donators uploaded, and get a transport suggestion to get there.

For donators, it welcomes all the merchants and shop keepers in Lyon to join in. Once they sign in, they can choose their location in the map, choose food category and upload information about the condition, amount and production date.

EDUSPREAD

Context

when? where? who? why?

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet or excite you. Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean; they show us how to live and die.”Anne Lamott

Research has shown that increasing access to books improves academic performance and attitudes toward reading and learning. But it can be costly for some people who have a low revenue to buy a lot of books to learn. That is why ,we decide to create EDUSPREAD so that people with a low income can enjoy reading a lot of books without spending huge amount of money.

Target

for whom?

The application is for all people with low income who love reading, want to learn and increase their knowledge.

Service offered

what? how?

The application will function as follows: The book is at the same time the product and the change. So you pay a book with a book. You will just have to create your account and insert all the caracteristics of the books that you want to exchange. Then, you will scroll down through the application to see what others people are offering as a book too. You make your choice, contact the owner and pay deliveries fees or just meet in person if the seller is close to your area.We have also added a feature where people can donate money which can be used to ship books at the doorstep. In order to gain confidence in the app, a person can find brief details of other sponsors who had donated money previously.
